Three Vietnamese companies have been added to the EU’s Russia sanctions list as of 21 May 2025.
The firms are accused of supporting Russia’s military or energy sectors through trade facilitation or indirect circumvention of export controls, according to an EU Council Decision issued May 20.
The three Vietnamese entitles names are:
- Inand Industries Company Ltd. Inand Industries is a relatively new trading company based in Hanoi. It has been involved in both import and export of goods with Russia.
- DAV Group Company Ltd. DAV Group is a trading company engaged in the import and export of electronic components and equipment, primarily dealing with integrated circuits, semiconductors, and telecommunication equipment. Its top export markets include Russia, Hong Kong, and the United Arab Emirates .
- Thavico Import Export Company Ltd. Thavico is an export-import company specializing in electronic components and equipment.
This marks the EU’s first public move targeting Vietnam-based entities over indirect links to Russia’s war effort, highlighting growing scrutiny of third-country trade flows in sanctions enforcement.
Of note, Vietnam’s exports to Russia last year reached US$2.34 billion an increase of 33.95 percent over 2023.
