Vietnam’s exports of paper and paper products reached US$194.47 million in April 2025, according to figures released by Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This represents an increase of 6.84 percent compared to March, with a year-to-date (YTD) export value of US$683.00 million.
USA remains the top export market with significant growth:
The USA was the leading export market in April, with exports valued at US$81.90 million. This marks a substantial increase of 24.07 percent from March and accounts for the largest share of the year-to-date exports at 34.46 percent.
China sees a decrease but remains a key market:
China was the second-largest export market in April, with exports valued at US$14.52 million, a decrease of 25.35 percent from the previous month. China accounts for 11.19 percent of the year-to-date exports.
Cambodia sees a slight decrease but remains a major market:
Exports to Cambodia experienced a slight decrease of 10.31 percent in April, reaching US$14.46 million. Cambodia accounts for 8.40 percent of the year-to-date exports.
Thailand sees a significant decrease:
Exports to Thailand saw a substantial decrease of 28.02 percent in April, falling to US$10.91 million. Thailand accounts for 7.41 percent of the year-to-date exports.
Significant month-on-month increases and decreases:
UAE experienced the largest month-on-month increase at 273.13 percent, followed by Myanmar and Singapore. Conversely, Thailand experienced the most significant decrease at 28.02 percent, followed by China and Indonesia.
