Norwegian tourist arrivals in Vietnam rise by 66.31 percent in November

Vietnam welcomed 2,468 tourists from Norway in November, reflecting a month-on-month increase of 984 visitors or 66.31 percent, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Tourism.

Year-to-date, Norwegian arrivals reached 24,545, representing a 34.3 percent growth compared to the same period last year. Norway remains a growing source market for Vietnam within Northern Europe.

Norwegian travellers are drawn to Vietnam’s cultural heritage sites in Hanoi, Hue, and Hoi An, alongside scenic attractions such as Halong Bay and Sapa. Beach destinations like Phu Quoc and Da Nang are also popular, offering tropical escapes for leisure seekers.

While there are no direct flights between Vietnam and Norway, connecting flights through hubs like Doha, Dubai, and Helsinki, operated by airlines such as Qatar Airways, Emirates, and Finnair, ensure accessible travel options for Norwegian visitors.

The sharp growth in November arrivals underlines Vietnam’s increasing appeal as a destination of choice for Northern European tourists, supported by effective connectivity and diverse offerings.
