Vietnam’s mobile phone industry
Vietnam has become a major global manufacturing hub for mobile phones, driven largely by foreign investment from multinational electronics companies.
Firms such as Samsung and Apple suppliers produce a large share of the world’s smartphones and components in Vietnam.
Mobile phones and related electronics consistently rank among Vietnam’s largest export categories, generating tens of billions of US dollars in annual export revenue.
Production is concentrated in northern industrial clusters such as Bac Ninh and Thai Nguyen, supported by extensive supplier networks and export-oriented manufacturing zones.
