LPG production in Vietnam up 12.63 percent in March / year-on-year -2.26%, YTD +2.55%

Vietnam produced 74.39 thousand tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in March, up 12.63 percent from 66.05 thousand tonnes in February 2026, according to the latest data from the National Statistics Office.

Year-to-date output reached 215.59 tonnes/000s by the end of March.

Gas cylinder prices jump

Retail gas prices in Ho Chi Minh City rose to a record VND 600,000–661,000 (US$22.8–25.1) per 12 kilogram cylinder from April 1, up VND 95,000 from late March.

PV GAS has been approved to invest VND7,511 billion (US$285.05 million) in an LPG terminal at Hai Phong, with operations expected from the third quarter of 2028.
