Japanese tourist arrivals in Vietnam increase by 23.54 percent in November

Vietnam welcomed 51,133 tourists from Japan in November, marking a month-on-month increase of 9,742 visitors or 23.54 percent, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Tourism.

Year-to-date, Japanese arrivals reached 445,642, reflecting a 33.5 percent growth compared to the same period last year. Japan remains one of Vietnam’s most significant tourism markets in Asia, contributing steadily to the sector’s recovery.

Japanese tourists often favour cultural and historical landmarks in Hanoi, Hue, and Hoi An. Additionally, beach destinations like Danang and Nha Trang attract leisure travellers. Japanese visitors are also drawn to Vietnam’s culinary experiences and eco-tourism activities in the Mekong Delta.

Key airlines, including Vietnam Airlines, Japan Airlines, and ANA (All Nippon Airways), provide direct flights between major Japanese cities such as Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. These routes play a crucial role in supporting the consistent flow of visitors.

The significant increase in Japanese arrivals highlights Vietnam’s success in marketing its tourism offerings to Japanese travellers, supported by strong bilateral ties and improving air connectivity.
