Industry: Where Vietnam exported the most iron and steel products in June 2025

Vietnam’s exports of iron and steel products saw a slight decline in June 2025, reaching $472,414,332, a -1.56 percent decrease compared to May 2025 according to data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

Despite the marginal month-on-month decrease, several countries remain vital destinations for Vietnam’s exports, with the year-to-date total for this product category standing at $2,811,496,701.

In June 2025, the top five destinations by dollar value for Vietnam’s exports of iron and steel products were:

USA

The USA emerged as the top destination in June, with export values reaching $134,126,859.

This represents a 14.67 percent month-on-month change from May.

The USA’s year-to-date total for these exports stands at $718,837,784, accounting for 25.57 percent of all YTD exports in this category.

Taiwan

Taiwan followed as the second-largest destination, with June exports valued at $77,603,684.

This figure indicates a 27.22 percent month-on-month change.

Taiwan’s year-to-date total for these exports is $385,400,463, representing 13.71 percent of the total YTD exports for this product category.

Japan

Japan secured the third position in June with exports totaling $51,920,310.

This indicates a 6.61 percent month-on-month change.

Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s exports of iron and steel products is $306,821,866, making up 10.91 percent of the total YTD exports.

Other

The “Other” category contributed $26,671,138 worth of iron and steel products in June.

Notably, the “Other” category experienced a -9.30 percent month-on-month decrease.

The “Other” category’s year-to-date total for these exports is $175,062,119, accounting for 6.23 percent of the total YTD exports for this product.

Australia

Australia rounded out the top five export destinations with $22,854,115 in June exports.

This country saw a 6.62 percent month-on-month increase.

Australia’s year-to-date total for these exports is $124,041,229, representing 4.41 percent of the total YTD exports for this category.
