China remained the dominant origin in July, with import values reaching $284,030,851.
This represents a 16.35 percent month-on-month increase from June.
China’s year-to-date total for these imports stands at $1,766,816,628, accounting for 68.38 percent of all YTD imports in this category.
South Korea
South Korea followed as the second-largest origin, with July imports valued at $40,738,061.
This figure indicates a 13.01 percent month-on-month increase.
South Korea’s year-to-date total for these imports is $251,194,615, representing 9.72 percent of the total YTD imports for this product category.
Japan
Japan secured the third position in July with imports totaling $16,025,715.
This indicates a 9.22 percent month-on-month increase.
Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s imports of insulated wires and cables is $91,567,099, making up 3.54 percent of the total YTD imports.
Thailand
Thailand contributed $9,351,782 worth of insulated wires and cables in July.
Notably, Thailand experienced a -2.29 percent month-on-month decrease.
Thailand’s year-to-date total for these imports is $67,955,039, accounting for 2.63 percent of the total YTD imports for this product.
Philippines
The Philippines rounded out the top five import origins with $8,923,033 in July imports.
This country saw a -2.79 percent month-on-month decrease.
The Philippines’ year-to-date total for these imports is $56,001,335, representing 2.17 percent of the total YTD imports for this category.
