Thailand
Thailand was the top origin in July, with import values reaching $145,418,501.
This represents a 13.81 percent month-on-month increase from June.
Thailand’s year-to-date total for these imports stands at $821,686,967, accounting for 30.91 percent of all YTD imports in this category.
China
China followed as the second-largest origin, with July imports valued at $143,130,800.
This figure indicates a -1.40 percent month-on-month decrease.
China’s year-to-date total for these imports is $887,991,708, representing 33.40 percent of the total YTD imports for this product category.
Indonesia
Indonesia secured the third position in July with imports totaling $90,483,852.
This indicates a -1.27 percent month-on-month decrease.
Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s imports of motor vehicles is $644,881,346, making up 24.26 percent of the total YTD imports.
Japan
Japan contributed $26,226,989 worth of motor vehicles in July.
Notably, Japan experienced a 28.79 percent month-on-month increase.
Japan’s year-to-date total for these imports is $142,167,949, accounting for 5.35 percent of the total YTD imports for this product.
Other
The “Other” category rounded out the top five origins with $12,907,401 in July imports.
This category saw a 36.55 percent month-on-month increase.
