ToggleIn October, Vietnam imported US$58.43 million worth of goods from Hong Kong, up from US$52.50 million in September, a change of 11.28 percent, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
So far this year, Vietnam has imported US$732 million worth of goods from Hong Kong.
Vietnam imported US$29.77 million worth of Precious stones, precious metal and articles from Hong Kong in October. This was up from US$15.41 million in September, a change of 93.23 percent.
Vietnam imported US$07.13 million worth of Ferrous waste and scrap from Hong Kong in October. This was down from US$8.61 million in September, a change of -17.14 percent.
Vietnam imported US$06.51 million worth of Computers, electrical products, spare-parts and components thereof from Hong Kong in October. This was down from US$7.74 million in September, a change of -15.99 percent.
Vietnam imported US$03.77 million worth of Other products from Hong Kong in October. This was down from US$8.06 million in September, a change of -53.28 percent.
Vietnam imported US$03.04 million worth of Textile, leather and footwear materials and auxiliaries from Hong Kong in October. This was down from US$4.43 million in September, a change of -31.34 percent.

Exports to Hong Kong
In October, Vietnam exported US$1.4 billion worth of goods to Hong Kong, down 22.51 percent over September, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
So far this year, Vietnam has exported US$14,329 million worth of goods to Hong Kong.

Vietnam trade with Hong Kong
In October, Vietnam imported US$58.43 million worth of goods from Hong Kong and exported US$1,383.24 million, for total trade worth US$1,441.67 million, and leaving a trade surplus of US$1,324.82 million.
Two-way trade so far this year between Vietnam and Hong Kong has reached US$15,061 million, with Vietnam importing US$732 million worth of goods and exporting US$14,329 million worth of goods.

Vietnam-Hong Kong trade relations
Vietnam and Hong Kong have developed strong trade relations over several decades, supported by their roles as regional trading hubs.
