Despite this month-on-month decline, the year-to-date total for this product category stood at $296,125,513.
In July 2025, the top five origins by dollar value for Vietnam’s imports of pharmaceutical materials were:
China
China was the top origin in July, with import values reaching $29,344,359.
This represents a -11.76 percent month-on-month decrease from June.
China’s year-to-date total for these imports stands at $221,576,040, accounting for 74.83 percent of all YTD imports in this category.
India
India followed as the second-largest origin, with July imports valued at $4,542,977.
This figure indicates a -6.63 percent month-on-month decrease.
India’s year-to-date total for these imports is $45,121,809, representing 15.24 percent of the total YTD imports for this product category.
Other
The “Other” category secured the third position in July with imports totaling $1,200,618.
This indicates a -35.04 percent month-on-month decrease.
The year-to-date contribution for this category is $8,114,522, making up 2.74 percent of the total YTD imports.
Italy
Italy contributed $741,348 worth of pharmaceutical materials in July.
Notably, Italy experienced a -19.83 percent month-on-month decrease.
Italy’s year-to-date total for these imports is $4,008,667, accounting for 1.35 percent of the total YTD imports for this product.
Spain
Spain rounded out the top five import origins with $474,805 in July imports.
This country saw a 56.47 percent month-on-month increase.
Spain’s year-to-date total for these imports is $4,952,379, representing 1.67 percent of the total YTD imports for this category.
