This positive month-on-month growth contributed to a year-to-date total for this product category, standing at $338,567,532.
In July 2025, the top five origins by dollar value for Vietnam’s imports of pastries, sweets and cereal products were:
China
China was the top origin in July, with import values reaching $11,347,824.
This represents a 16.71 percent month-on-month increase from June.
China’s year-to-date total for these imports stands at $77,781,169, accounting for 22.97 percent of all YTD imports in this category.
Indonesia
Indonesia followed as the second-largest origin, with July imports valued at $10,737,979.
This figure indicates a 19.16 percent month-on-month increase.
Indonesia’s year-to-date total for these imports is $66,140,814, representing 19.54 percent of the total YTD imports for this product category.
Thailand
Thailand secured the third position in July with imports totaling $7,225,724.
This indicates a 21.29 percent month-on-month increase.
Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s imports of pastries, sweets and cereal products is $38,804,674, making up 11.46 percent of the total YTD imports.
Other
The “Other” category contributed $6,694,803 worth of these products in July.
Notably, this category experienced a -4.12 percent month-on-month decrease.
The year-to-date total for this category is $44,456,938, accounting for 13.13 percent of the total YTD imports.
South Korea
South Korea rounded out the top five import origins with $4,913,289 in July imports.
This country saw a 23.69 percent month-on-month increase.
South Korea’s year-to-date total for these imports is $30,693,184, representing 9.07 percent of the total YTD imports for this category.
