Vietnam’s imports of textile, leather and footwear materials and auxiliaries saw a marginal decrease in July 2025, reaching $587,940,138, a -0.10 percent decrease compared to June 2025, according to the latest data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Despite this month-on-month decline, the year-to-date total for this product category stood at $4,161,526,874.
In July 2025, the top five origins by dollar value for Vietnam’s imports of textile, leather and footwear materials and auxiliaries were:
China
China remained the dominant origin in July, with import values reaching $350,066,841.
This represents a 0.95 percent month-on-month increase from June.
China’s year-to-date total for these imports stands at $2,444,318,840, accounting for 58.74 percent of all YTD imports in this category.
USA
The USA followed as the second-largest origin, with July imports valued at $38,080,875.
This figure indicates a 2.37 percent month-on-month increase.
The USA’s year-to-date total for these imports is $256,239,659, representing 6.16 percent of the total YTD imports for this product category.
South Korea
South Korea secured the third position in July with imports totaling $34,803,331.
This indicates a -18.09 percent month-on-month decrease.
Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s imports of textile, leather and footwear materials and auxiliaries is $262,704,249, making up 6.31 percent of the total YTD imports.
Taiwan
Taiwan contributed $30,170,087 worth of textile, leather and footwear materials and auxiliaries in July.
Notably, Taiwan experienced a 12.89 percent month-on-month increase.
Taiwan’s year-to-date total for these imports is $209,626,674, accounting for 5.04 percent of the total YTD imports for this product.
Thailand
Thailand rounded out the top five import origins with $28,839,011 in July imports.
This country saw a -1.47 percent month-on-month decrease.
Thailand’s year-to-date total for these imports is $194,665,667, representing 4.68 percent of the total YTD imports for this category.
