Vietnam’s imports of chemical products saw an increase in July 2025, reaching $703,542,468, an 8.04 percent increase compared to June 2025, according to the latest data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
This positive month-on-month growth contributed to a year-to-date total for this product category, standing at $4,504,645,454.
In July 2025, the top five origins by dollar value for Vietnam’s imports of chemical products were:
China
China remained the dominant origin in July, with import values reaching $288,229,047.
This represents a 7.80 percent month-on-month increase from June.
China’s year-to-date total for these imports stands at $1,868,141,597, accounting for 41.47 percent of all YTD imports in this category.
South Korea
South Korea followed as the second-largest origin, with July imports valued at $79,184,527.
This figure indicates a 10.02 percent month-on-month increase.
South Korea’s year-to-date total for these imports is $505,930,750, representing 11.23 percent of the total YTD imports for this product category.
Japan
Japan secured the third position in July with imports totaling $60,155,574.
This indicates a 17.62 percent month-on-month increase.
Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s imports of chemical products is $373,089,842, making up 8.28 percent of the total YTD imports.
USA
The USA contributed $43,582,008 worth of chemical products in July.
Notably, the USA experienced a 4.37 percent month-on-month increase.
The USA’s year-to-date total for these imports is $249,737,495, accounting for 5.54 percent of the total YTD imports for this product.
Taiwan
Taiwan rounded out the top five import origins with $40,898,708 in July imports.
This country saw a 10.74 percent month-on-month increase.
Taiwan’s year-to-date total for these imports is $284,776,397, representing 6.32 percent of the total YTD imports for this category.
