Vietnam’s exports of fruits and vegetables reached US$523.52 million in April 2025, according to figures released by Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This represents a significant increase of 9.66 percent compared to March, with a year-to-date (YTD) export value of US$1.69 billion.
China remains the top export market with substantial growth:
China was the leading export market in April, with exports valued at US$257.11 million. This marks a significant increase of 19.18 percent from March and accounts for the largest share of the year-to-date exports at 46.12 percent.
USA sees a decrease but remains a key market:
The USA was the second-largest export market in April, with exports valued at US$42.68 million, a decrease of 7.43 percent from the previous month. The USA accounts for 9.15 percent of the year-to-date exports.
South Korea sees a slight decrease:
Exports to South Korea experienced a slight decrease of 5.80 percent in April, reaching US$29.28 million. South Korea accounts for 6.02 percent of the year-to-date exports.
Japan sees a marginal decrease:
Exports to Japan saw a slight decrease of 1.27 percent in April, reaching US$20.83 million. Japan accounts for 4.46 percent of the year-to-date exports.
Significant month-on-month increases and decreases:
Egypt experienced the largest month-on-month increase at 314.96 percent, followed by Kazakhstan and Italy. Conversely, Thailand experienced the most significant decrease at 33.92 percent, followed by Indonesia and Switzerland.
