Fresh milk production in Vietnam down 8.47 percent in December

Vietnam produced 147.64 million litres of fresh milk in December, down 8.47 percent from 161.31 million litres in November, according to the latest data from the National Statistics Office.

Year to date output reached 1,697.98 million litres by the end of December.

VNM closed at VND 62,200 on Thursday up 1.3 percent with 56,364,000 shares traded, worth VND 351,659 million.

Foreign ownership in VNM is currently capped at 100.0 percent, with current foreign ownership sitting at 50.7 percent.

Singapore’s Jardine Cycle and Carriage will sell 96 million Vinamilk shares, equivalent to 4.6 percent, to F and N Dairy Investments for VND 6.01 trillion (US$228 million), it was reported in mid-December.

The sale will be executed via wholly owned subsidiary Platinum Victory at VND 62,555 per share, reducing its Vinamilk stake from 10.62 percent to 6.02 percent.
