Indonesia
Indonesia emerged as the top supplier in June, with import values reaching $81,291,174.
This represents a 4.92 percent month-on-month change from May.
Indonesia’s year-to-date total for these imports stands at $425,783,268, accounting for 57.39 percent of all YTD imports in this category.
Malaysia
Malaysia followed as the second-largest source, with June imports valued at $28,390,747.
This figure indicates a -37.08 percent month-on-month change.
Malaysia’s year-to-date total for these imports is $186,874,442, representing 25.19 percent of the total YTD imports for this product category.
Thailand
Thailand secured the third position in June with imports totaling $6,401,476.
This indicates a -17.01 percent month-on-month change.
Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s imports of animal and vegetable fats and oils is $39,649,248, making up 5.34 percent of the total YTD imports.
India
India contributed $6,032,012 worth of animal and vegetable fats and oils in June.
Notably, India experienced a significant positive month-on-month growth of +224.91 percent.
India’s year-to-date total for these imports is $13,817,398, accounting for 1.86 percent of the total YTD imports for this product.
China
China rounded out the top five import sources with $2,389,435 in June imports.
This country saw a substantial -70.87 percent month-on-month decrease.
China’s year-to-date total for these imports is $20,903,609, representing 2.82 percent of the total YTD imports for this category.
