European tourist arrivals in Vietnam decline in February

Vietnam recorded 239,702 tourist arrivals from Europe in February, accounting for 12.7 percent of total international visitors, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Tourism. This marks a 10.1 percent decline from January, although the year-to-date total reached 506,346 visitors, making up 12.8 percent of overall arrivals.

The UK led the European market with 39,148 visitors, increasing by 17.09 percent from January, followed by Russia with 36,500 visitors, reflecting a 14.15 percent drop. France (35,034 visitors) and Germany (33,331 visitors) saw declines of 25.07 percent and 19.06 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, Poland recorded a strong 45.81 percent month-on-month increase, reaching 12,653 arrivals.

Despite the overall decline, Vietnam remains a key destination for European tourists, driven by cultural attractions, beach destinations, and increasing flight connectivity.
