Vietnam recorded 3,255 tourist arrivals from Denmark in November, a significant month-on-month drop of 2,680 visitors or 99.88 percent, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Tourism.
Year-to-date, Danish arrivals reached 33,458, reflecting a modest growth of 7.7 percent compared to the same period last year. Despite the decline in November, Denmark remains an important Northern European market for Vietnam’s tourism sector.
Danish tourists are typically drawn to Vietnam’s cultural and historical sites in Hanoi and Hoi An, as well as natural attractions such as Halong Bay and the Mekong Delta. Coastal areas like Da Nang and Phu Quoc also attract Danish visitors seeking warm-weather escapes.
While there are no direct flights between Denmark and Vietnam, connecting routes via hubs like Doha, Dubai, and Bangkok operated by airlines such as Qatar Airways, Emirates, and Thai Airways provide accessible travel options.
The significant decline in November highlights potential challenges or seasonal trends affecting Danish travel, but Vietnam’s overall appeal continues to attract Danish tourists year-to-date.
