Danish tourist arrivals in Vietnam decline sharply in November
Year-to-date, Danish arrivals reached 33,458, reflecting a modest growth of 7.7 percent compared to the same period last year. Despite the decline in November, Denmark remains an important Northern European market for Vietnam’s tourism sector.
Vietnam’s coffee exports surge in November
Year-to-date exports of coffee reached US$4.93 billion, with Spain being the leading importer at US$409.90 million, reflecting a 44.27 percent increase from October.
Vietnam’s battery manufacturing sees strong annual growth in 2024
Year-on-year, the industry recorded a significant 15.35 percent increase in November 2024 compared to the same month in 2023. Over the first 11 months of 2024, the sector achieved a cumulative growth of 12.23 percent, highlighting its robust contribution to Vietnam’s industrial output.
Reduction in Vietnam Environment Tax on jet fuel, petrol extended to end 2025
A 50 percent cut to Vietnam’s Environment Tax on jet fuel, petrol, and grease, first implemented as a COVID-19 economic stimulus measure, will be extended to the end of next year. The tax cut was originally set to end on the first of January.
Vietnam fertility rate hits new low, possible labour shortages on horizon
Vietnam’s fertility rate fell to 1.91 children per woman in 2024 down from 1.96 in 2023, and well-below the 2.1 replacement rate needed. This has been raised as a concern in the context of its impact on Vietnam’s labour supply.
French tourist arrivals in Vietnam rise by 44.16 percent in November
Year-to-date, French arrivals reached 254,653, reflecting a 30.4 percent growth compared to the same period last year. France remains one of Vietnam’s most significant European markets, contributing to the strong rebound of international tourism.
Vietnam’s ceramic product exports show stability in November 2024
The United States remained the top importer, accounting for US$18.87 million, a 9.76 percent increase from the previous month. Japan followed with imports of US$7.70 million, up by 13.60 percent.
