Vietnam-Belgium trade relations
Vietnam and Belgium maintain a long-standing trade relationship supported by both bilateral and EU-level frameworks.
Key Vietnamese exports to Belgium include textiles, footwear, seafood, and electronics, while imports consist mainly of pharmaceuticals, machinery, dairy products, and chemicals.
The EU–Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), in force since 2020, has significantly boosted trade volumes by removing tariffs and simplifying customs procedures.
Belgium also serves as a major logistics gateway for Vietnamese goods entering Europe through the Port of Antwerp, strengthening Vietnam’s position within the EU market.
