Vietnam’s bags and accessories industry
Vietnam manufactures a wide range of handbags, purses, suitcases, headgear and umbrellas for both domestic consumption and export.
Production is concentrated in southern industrial provinces, where foreign-invested factories supply major international brands.
The sector employs large numbers of workers and benefits from Vietnam’s access to key markets under free trade agreements.
Firms are investing in design, materials and automation to meet growing demand for higher-value fashion and travel goods.
