Vietnam’s imports of pharmaceutical products saw a significant decrease in July 2025, reaching $366,122,473, a -21.92 percent decrease compared to June 2025, according to the latest data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Despite this month-on-month decline, the year-to-date total for this product category stood at $2,496,582,105.
In July 2025, the top five origins by dollar value for Vietnam’s imports of pharmaceutical products were:
Belgium
Belgium was the top origin in July, with import values reaching $46,420,177.
This represents a significant 94.37 percent month-on-month increase from June.
Belgium’s year-to-date total for these imports stands at $173,318,906, accounting for 6.94 percent of all YTD imports in this category.
France
France followed as the second-largest origin, with July imports valued at $37,745,676.
This figure indicates a -47.36 percent month-on-month decrease.
France’s year-to-date total for these imports is $275,998,119, representing 11.06 percent of the total YTD imports for this product category.
Germany
Germany secured the third position in July with imports totaling $28,521,008.
This indicates a -16.76 percent month-on-month decrease.
Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s imports of pharmaceutical products is $254,020,814, making up 10.17 percent of the total YTD imports.
Ireland
Ireland contributed $27,125,762 worth of pharmaceutical products in July.
Notably, Ireland experienced a -45.22 percent month-on-month decrease.
Ireland’s year-to-date total for these imports is $138,591,175, accounting for 5.55 percent of the total YTD imports for this product.
Italy
Italy rounded out the top five import origins with $25,601,795 in July imports.
This country saw a -24.96 percent month-on-month decrease.
Italy’s year-to-date total for these imports is $183,971,552, representing 7.37 percent of the total YTD imports for this category.
