Of note, tourism from Asia remains the backbone of Vietnam’s visitor arrivals, supported by strong regional connectivity and expanding intra-ASEAN travel.
The majority of visitors continue to come from nearby markets such as China, South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan, reflecting the enduring importance of short-haul tourism and cultural ties.
While overall growth has been steady, performance varies between markets.
Rising arrivals from India, Malaysia, and other Southeast Asian countries are helping to balance declines from some Northeast Asian destinations.
The broader regional trend suggests that Vietnam’s tourism industry is becoming more diversified, with increasing contributions from emerging markets across Asia.
