Vietnam recorded 1.52 million international visitors in September 2025, a 9.6 percent decrease from August but a 19.5 percent increase compared to the same month last year, according to the latest data from Vietnam Tourism.
Year-to-date, arrivals totalled 15.43 million, maintaining strong recovery momentum in the tourism sector.
Arrivals from Asia reached 1.24 million, down 8.5 percent from the previous month.
China remained the largest source market with 361,627 visitors, though arrivals fell 12.7 percent month-on-month.
Korea followed with 328,530 visitors, marking a 14.5 percent decline. However, several regional markets expanded, including Malaysia up 52.1 percent, India up 9.4 percent, and the Philippines up 1.6 percent.
European arrivals totalled 161,503, down 24.9 percent month-on-month but up 57 percent year-on-year.
Russia recorded a sharp increase of 240.5 percent compared to September 2024.
Arrivals from the Americas slipped 2.3 percent to 63,962, while Oceania rose 25.4 percent, with Australia contributing 43,255 visitors, up 26.1 percent.
