Asian tourist arrivals in Vietnam decline in February

Vietnam recorded 1,491,673 tourist arrivals from Asia in February, accounting for 78.8 percent of total international visitors, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Tourism. This marks a 7.17 percent decline from January, though the year-to-date total reached 3,098,561 visitors, making up 78.2 percent of overall arrivals for the year so far.

China remained the largest source of Asian tourists, with 380,745 visitors, a 33.78 percent drop from January, but year-to-date figures show a strong presence with 955,695 arrivals. South Korea followed with 468,026 visitors, reflecting a 12.21 percent increase from January. Other key markets included Taiwan (126,929 visitors, up 38.91 percent), India (43,678 visitors, down 10.01 percent), and Malaysia (60,051 visitors, marking a 39.86 percent increase).

Despite the monthly decline, Vietnam remains a top destination for Asian travelers, supported by strong air connectivity and visa-friendly policies.
