Vietnam’s pepper exports saw a notable decrease in June 2025, reaching $157,843,058, a -13.41 percent decrease compared to May 2025 according to the latest data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Despite this month-on-month decline, the year-to-date total for pepper exports stood at a substantial $848,098,170.
In June 2025, the top five destinations by dollar value for Vietnam’s pepper exports were:
USA
The USA maintained its position as the top destination in June, with export values reaching $35,263,229.
However, this represents a significant -32.67 percent month-on-month decrease from May.
The USA’s year-to-date total for these exports stands at $220,140,761, accounting for 25.96 percent of all YTD pepper exports.
Other
The “Other” category followed as the second-largest destination, with June exports valued at $32,770,210.
This figure indicates a 9.13 percent month-on-month increase.
The “Other” category’s year-to-date total for these exports is $132,785,039, representing 15.66 percent of the total YTD pepper exports.
Germany
Germany secured the third position in June with exports totaling $11,786,154.
This indicates a -17.77 percent month-on-month change.
Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s pepper exports is $75,447,826, making up 8.90 percent of the total YTD exports.
India
India contributed $8,422,959 worth of pepper in June.
Notably, India experienced a -30.29 percent month-on-month decrease.
India’s year-to-date total for these exports is $61,699,495, accounting for 7.28 percent of the total YTD pepper exports.
Thailand
Thailand rounded out the top five export destinations with $6,420,121 in June exports.
This country saw a significant 53.98 percent month-on-month increase.
Thailand’s year-to-date total for these exports is $25,639,920, representing 3.02 percent of the total YTD exports for this category.
