Vietnam’s fertilizer imports increase by 2.09 percent in March
Vietnam’s imports of fertilizers saw a slight increase of 2.09 percent in March, totalling US$144.15 million. Year-to-date (YTD) imports reached US$430.27 million, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Vietnam’s phone imports edged up nearly 5 percent in March
Vietnam imported US$867.03 million worth of telephones, mobile phones and parts in March, rising 4.79 percent from February, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This brought the year-to-date total to US$2.55 billion.
Vietnam stock market jumps as foreign investors net-sell US$185 million
Vietnam’s benchmark indices saw modest gains on April 16, supported by strong liquidity across the board. Foreign investors, however, were heavy net sellers, offloading over VND 4.6 trillion (US$185 million) in shares. The bulk of the sell-off by foreign investors was in Vingroup (VIC), it’s not immediately clear why.
Vietnam’s fuel output rises 4.9 percent year-on-year in March
Vietnam’s gasoline and oil production reached 1,494,600 tons in March, up from 1,405,800 tons in February. Total output for the first quarter stood at 4,304,500 tons, representing a 28.0 percent increase compared to March 2024 and a 4.9 percent rise year-on-year, according to data from the General Statistics Office.
Vietnam’s textile and garment exports up 25 percent in March, led by strong US demand
Vietnam’s textile and garment exports rose to US$3.06 billion in March, up 25.40 percent from February, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
