Culture, entertainment, and tourism costs in Vietnam increased by 0.17 percent in February, driven by higher demand for travel and leisure services, according to Vietnam’s Consumer Price Index.
Vietnam drug and medical service costs increase in February: CPI data
Drug and medical service costs in Vietnam rose by 0.31 percent in February, driven by higher medical service fees and increased demand for medications, according to the Vietnam’s Consumer Price Index. The medical services price index increased by 0.36 percent following the implementation of new service pricing under Circular No. 21/2024/TT-BYT, issued by the Ministry of Health.
Vietnam’s iron and steel imports surge by 50.89 percent in February 2025
Vietnam’s iron and steel imports rose sharply by 50.89 percent month-on-month in February, reaching US$1.04 billion, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This follows January’s total of US$691.29 million, bringing year-to-date imports to US$1.73 billion.
Vietnam’s crude oil imports surge 30.73 percent in February 2025
Vietnam’s crude oil imports increased by 30.73 percent month-on-month in February, reaching US$804.76 million, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This brings total year-to-date crude oil imports to US$1.46 billion.
Vietnam’s gasoline production declines by 3.8% in February 2025
Vietnam’s gasoline production has seen a slight decrease in the first two months of 2025. According to the latest data from Vietnam’s General Office of Statistics, the country produced 1.40 million tons of gasoline in January 2025. In February, this figure increased slightly to 1.40 million tons.
