Vietnam welcomed 33,027 tourists from France in November, a month-on-month increase of 10,117 visitors or 44.16 percent, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Tourism.
Year-to-date, French arrivals reached 254,653, reflecting a 30.4 percent growth compared to the same period last year. France remains one of Vietnam’s most significant European markets, contributing to the strong rebound of international tourism.
French tourists are particularly drawn to Vietnam’s cultural and historical sites, including Hanoi, Hoi An, and Hue. Natural attractions such as Halong Bay and Sapa also feature prominently in itineraries, offering unique experiences in scenic environments. Culinary tourism also appeals strongly to French visitors, who appreciate Vietnam’s rich and diverse cuisine.
Direct flights operated by Vietnam Airlines and Air France connect Paris to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, facilitating travel between the two countries. These flights, coupled with connecting routes through regional hubs, ensure convenient access for French travellers.
The sharp rise in French tourist arrivals underscores Vietnam’s success in promoting its cultural and natural offerings to European markets, further solidifying its position as a preferred destination in Asia.
