Vietnam’s exports of insulated wires and cables reached US$366.18 million in April 2025, according to figures released by Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This represents an increase of 4.72 percent compared to March, with a year-to-date (YTD) export value of US$1.31 billion.
USA remains the top export market with moderate growth:
The USA was the leading export market in April, with exports valued at US$126.63 million. This marks an increase of 7.34 percent from March and accounts for the largest share of the year-to-date exports at 33.35 percent.
China sees a slight decrease but remains a key market:
China was the second-largest export market in April, with exports valued at US$65.85 million, a slight decrease of 3.02 percent from the previous month. China accounts for 18.82 percent of the year-to-date exports.
South Korea records moderate growth:
Exports to South Korea experienced an increase of 8.33 percent in April, reaching US$40.16 million. South Korea accounts for 10.79 percent of the year-to-date exports.
Japan sees a slight decrease:
Exports to Japan saw a decrease of 6.55 percent in April, falling to US$29.21 million. Japan accounts for 8.71 percent of the year-to-date exports.
Significant month-on-month increases and decreases:
Philippines experienced the largest month-on-month increase at 82.27 percent, followed by Indonesia and Hong Kong. Conversely, Myanmar experienced the most significant decrease at 94.28 percent, followed by Denmark and Cambodia. Notably, there were no exports to Mozambique in April after exports in March.
