Vietnam’s yarn exports rise 11 percent in March, driven by strong demand from China

Vietnam’s yarn exports totalled US$385.15 million in March 2025, up 10.98 percent from February, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

For the first quarter, yarn exports reached US$1.03 billion. China remained the top buyer, importing US$180.03 million in March, accounting for nearly 45 percent of the total year-to-date. Other key markets included South Korea, the United States, and Bangladesh, all showing double-digit growth. Notably, exports to Italy surged 92.84 percent month-on-month.

The data indicates a steady rebound in Vietnam’s yarn trade, reflecting the recovery of regional textile and garment production, especially in China and South Asia.
