Vietnam’s yarn exports fall 21.71 percent in January

Vietnam’s yarn exports declined by 21.71 percent month-on-month to US$301.31 million in January, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

China remained the largest importer, accounting for 39.09 percent of total exports at US$117.79 million, a significant drop of 37.54 percent from December. South Korea and the USA followed, with shipments declining by 6.98 percent and 11.23 percent, respectively, to US$32.02 million and US$14.41 million.

Despite the overall decline, Cambodia recorded a strong increase of 37.61 percent, reaching US$11.18 million. Indonesia also posted growth of 10.30 percent, while Egypt and Peru saw increases of 26.59 percent and 44.67 percent, respectively. In contrast, Malaysia experienced the sharpest decline, falling by 51.10 percent to US$1.74 million, while Turkey dropped 64.09 percent to US$0.64 million.
