Vietnam’s woven fabric production sees robust growth in November

The Industrial Production Index (IPI) for woven fabric production increased by 2.34 percent in November compared to October, reflecting steady month-on-month growth, according to Vietnam’s General Statistics Office. This improvement highlights the continued expansion of the woven fabric segment within Vietnam’s textile industry.

Year-on-year, woven fabric production experienced substantial growth of 17.03 percent in November 2024 compared to the same period in 2023. Over the first 11 months of 2024, the sector recorded an 11.95 percent increase compared to the same period last year, underscoring its key role in Vietnam’s industrial performance.

The sector’s growth is driven by strong demand from both domestic garment manufacturers and international markets. Vietnam’s advantageous trade agreements, relatively skilled workforce, and investments in modern weaving technologies have further bolstered its competitiveness in the global textile supply chain.

As a critical component of Vietnam’s textile and garment ecosystem, woven fabric production contributes significantly to export revenue and employment. Sustained focus on quality, innovation, and sustainability will ensure the sector remains a cornerstone of Vietnam’s industrial strategy.
