Vietnam’s imports of computers, electrical products, spare-parts and components saw a significant increase in July 2025, reaching $13,839,054,361, a 17.99 percent increase compared to June 2025, according to the latest data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
This positive month-on-month growth contributed to a substantial year-to-date total for this product category, standing at $81,784,545,845.
In July 2025, the top five origins by dollar value for Vietnam’s imports of computers, electrical products, spare-parts and components were:
China
China remained the dominant origin in July, with import values reaching $5,006,087,232.
This represents a 12.93 percent month-on-month increase from June.
China’s year-to-date total for these imports stands at $28,552,369,307, accounting for 34.91 percent of all YTD imports in this category.
South Korea
South Korea followed as the second-largest origin, with July imports valued at $3,189,924,563.
This figure indicates a 12.32 percent month-on-month change.
South Korea’s year-to-date total for these imports is $20,646,724,416, representing 25.25 percent of the total YTD imports for this product category.
Taiwan
Taiwan secured the third position in July with imports totaling $2,444,953,680.
This indicates a remarkable 32.74 percent month-on-month increase.
Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s imports of computers, electrical products, spare-parts and components is $12,673,526,252, making up 15.50 percent of the total YTD imports.
Japan
Japan contributed $798,319,564 worth of computers, electrical products, spare-parts and components in July.
Notably, Japan experienced a significant 36.79 percent month-on-month increase.
Japan’s year-to-date total for these imports is $4,488,659,224, accounting for 5.49 percent of the total YTD imports for this product.
USA
The USA rounded out the top five import origins with $532,337,724 in July imports.
This country saw an impressive 67.79 percent month-on-month increase.
The USA’s year-to-date total for these imports is $3,106,445,601, representing 3.80 percent of the total YTD imports for this category.
