Vietnam’s tea exports increased in October 2024, with volumes reaching 14,468 tonnes and a value of US$26.29 million, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This marks a 10.6 percent rise in volume and a 13.7 percent increase in value compared to September, which recorded 13,087 tonnes and US$23.12 million.
Year-to-date figures demonstrate strong growth. From January to October, Vietnam exported 120,306 tonnes of tea, valued at US$211.93 million. This reflects a 28.3 percent rise in volume and a 30.3 percent increase in value compared to the same period in 2023.
The steady growth underscores Vietnam’s expanding presence in the global tea market, driven by its high-quality products and competitive pricing. October’s performance highlights the sector’s resilience and potential for sustained growth, bolstered by increasing international demand.
