Vietnam’s tea exports experience decline in November

Vietnam’s tea exports reached US$22.69 million in November, reflecting a month-on-month decline of 13.7 percent, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. Year-to-date tea exports amounted to US$234.69 million, highlighting the sector’s overall resilience despite recent monthly fluctuations.

Pakistan remained Vietnam’s largest tea export market, importing US$9.98 million in November, a sharp decrease of 23.93 percent compared to October. Other notable markets included Taiwan, which experienced a 17.83 percent decline to US$2.23 million, and Russia, which grew by 14.36 percent to US$1.16 million. Meanwhile, Indonesia demonstrated significant growth, with a 50.15 percent increase in imports to US$1.07 million, showcasing potential for further market penetration.

The tea industry in Vietnam faces mixed trends, with growth opportunities in emerging markets like Indonesia and stable demand from traditional markets like Russia.
