German tourist arrivals in Vietnam rise by 38.11 percent in November

Vietnam welcomed 29,270 tourists from Germany in November, marking a month-on-month increase of 8,076 visitors or 38.11 percent, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Tourism.

Year-to-date, German arrivals reached 226,049, reflecting a 27.4 percent growth compared to the same period last year. Germany remains a key European source market for Vietnam, showcasing a strong recovery in long-haul tourism.

German tourists are drawn to Vietnam’s cultural and natural attractions, with destinations like Hanoi, Hue, and Hoi An offering unique historical experiences. Beach locations such as Danang and Phu Quoc also attract German visitors looking for relaxation and tropical scenery.

Direct flights operated by Vietnam Airlines and Lufthansa connect Frankfurt to Vietnam’s main hubs in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Connecting flights via hubs in the Middle East and Asia further facilitate travel for German tourists.

The significant rise in German arrivals highlights Vietnam’s appeal as a diverse destination for cultural exploration, leisure, and adventure, supported by robust connectivity and targeted marketing efforts.
