Vietnam’s rubber products exports declined by 9.66 percent month-on-month in January, reaching US$106.19 million, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
The US remained the largest market, accounting for 43.74 percent of total exports at US$46.45 million, a 6.31 percent decrease from December. Japan followed with US$14.38 million, representing 13.54 percent of total exports, rising by 2.57 percent. South Korea ranked third with US$8.07 million, making up 7.60 percent of total exports, declining by 11.17 percent.
Compared to December, Russia recorded the highest growth, increasing by 31.88 percent to US$1.13 million. France and Brazil also saw growth, rising by 3.03 percent and 11.70 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, exports to China and the Netherlands declined sharply, falling by 66.51 percent and 43.10 percent, respectively.
The top five markets—the US, Japan, South Korea, Germany, and Brazil—accounted for 70.28 percent of Vietnam’s total rubber products exports in January. Although smaller markets experienced growth, the overall decline reflects reduced demand in major export destinations.
