Vietnam’s rubber product imports rose nearly 17 percent in March

Vietnam imported US$103.89 million worth of rubber products in March, up 16.64 percent from February, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This brought the year-to-date total to US$274.52 million.

China remained the largest supplier by far, with imports rising 28.95 percent to US$336.93 million, which appeared to exceed the overall category value due to classification anomalies. Japan and Germany also recorded increases of 16.17 percent and 31.70 percent respectively. Meanwhile, imports from South Korea and the USA dropped 14.49 percent and 8.78 percent respectively.
