Vietnam’s exports of precious stones, precious metals, and articles thereof decreased by 23.94 percent in December compared to November, reaching US$47.97 million, according to data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Vietnam’s exports of precious stones, precious metals, and articles thereof total US$634.46 million for 2024.
The decline in exports was primarily driven by a decrease in shipments to the USA, which saw a 22.68 percent drop, amounting to US$16.99 million. Exports to France, Belgium, and the UK also showed significant declines of 37.63 percent, 23.17 percent, and 56.05 percent, respectively.
However, some markets experienced growth. Exports to South Korea and Hong Kong decreased but at a lower rate, while shipments to Taiwan and the UAE showed positive growth.
