Vietnam’s precious metal and jewellery exports up 23.56 percent in March

Vietnam exported US$64.64 million worth of precious stones, precious metals and related articles in March, an increase of 23.56 percent from February, according to data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

In the first three months of the year, Vietnam’s exports in this category reached US$160.77 million. The US was the largest importer, accounting for over one-third of the total value. Exports to Belgium rose sharply by 204.81 percent month-on-month, while Australia and Spain also recorded strong gains.

Meanwhile, shipments to the UK, Thailand, and Taiwan declined. Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong remained among Vietnam’s key export markets.
