Vietnam’s exports of plastic products increased by 8.36 percent in December compared to November, reaching US$653.63 million, according to data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Vietnam’s plastic products exports total US$6.73 billion for 2024.
The rise in exports was primarily driven by a significant increase in shipments to the USA, which saw a 10.61 percent growth, amounting to US$338.19 million. Exports to India, Germany, and the Netherlands also showed positive growth, with increases of 28.22 percent, 19.93 percent, and 14.50 percent, respectively.
However, some markets experienced a decline. Exports to Japan, South Korea, China, and Thailand showed decreases of 7.49 percent, 0.17 percent, 1.60 percent, and 27.57 percent, respectively.
