Vietnam’s petroleum products exports rise by 17.19 percent in December

Vietnam’s exports of petroleum products increased by 17.19 percent in December compared to November, reaching US$169.92 million, according to data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

Vietnam’s petroleum products exports total US$1.93 billion for 2024.

The rise in exports was driven by a significant increase in shipments to China, which saw a 120.28 percent increase, amounting to US$22.55 million. Exports to South Korea, Cambodia, and Singapore also showed positive growth, with increases of 86.26 percent, 5.04 percent, and 59.07 percent, respectively.

However, some markets experienced a decline. Exports to Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia showed a decrease, with exports to Thailand dropping by 17.04 percent, and exports to Indonesia and Malaysia being completely halted.
