Vietnam’s pastry, sweets, and cereals products exports decline by 0.91 percent in December

Vietnam’s exports of pastry, sweets, and cereals products decreased by 0.91 percent in December compared to November, reaching US$116.85 million, according to data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

Vietnam’s exports of pastry, sweets, and cereals products total US$1.23 billion for 2024.

The decrease in exports was primarily driven by a decline in shipments to other markets, which saw a 13.78 percent drop, amounting to US$13.30 million. Exports to Japan and South Korea also showed a decrease of 20.79 percent and 8.99 percent, respectively.

However, some markets showed positive growth. Exports to Taiwan, the Netherlands, and Russia increased by 38.58 percent, 47.52 percent, and 24.63 percent, respectively.
