Vietnam’s pastry, sweets, and cereal product imports rise 20.03 percent in February 2025

Vietnam’s imports of pastry, sweets, and cereal products increased by 20.03 percent month-on-month in February, reaching US$48.61 million, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This brings total year-to-date imports to US$89.19 million, reflecting growing consumer demand for these products.

Indonesia led as the top supplier, with imports surging 47.81 percent to US$11.18 million, making up 23.00 percent of total imports. China followed, despite a 21.33 percent decline, at US$10.48 million or 21.56 percent of total imports. Thailand saw a moderate increase of 5.28 percent, while the USA recorded an exceptional 308.66 percent rise, reaching US$4.47 million.

Imports from Malaysia and the Philippines increased by 27.22 percent and 66.16 percent, respectively. Singapore recorded the highest growth among smaller suppliers, surging 120.85 percent. However, the Netherlands saw an 80.35 percent decline, and Belgium’s imports dropped by 50.39 percent.
