Vietnam’s paper imports increased by 20.19 percent month-on-month in February, reaching US$185.66 million, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This brings total year-to-date imports to US$340.01 million, highlighting a growing demand for paper products.
China remained the largest supplier, despite a 10.45 percent decline in shipments to US$58.32 million, accounting for 31.41 percent of the total. Indonesia followed with an 85.86 percent surge, reaching US$31.18 million. South Korea and Japan also saw notable increases of 14.30 percent and 29.21 percent, respectively.
Malaysia and Thailand recorded strong month-on-month growth of 59.19 percent and 38.92 percent, while imports from Sweden nearly doubled, rising by 83.47 percent. In contrast, US imports fell by 45.66 percent, and shipments from Austria dropped by 57.60 percent.
