Vietnam’s paper exports grow in October, year-to-date performance remains stable

Vietnam’s exports of paper and paper products increased in October 2024, reaching a value of US$175.30 million, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This marks a 10.5 percent rise compared to September, which recorded US$158.64 million, reflecting steady demand for Vietnamese paper products in global markets.

Year-to-date performance, however, remains flat. From January to October, paper exports totalled US$1.75 billion, a slight 0.4 percent decrease compared to the same period in 2023.

October’s growth suggests short-term improvements in export activity, but the stagnant year-to-date figures highlight challenges in sustaining momentum. Efforts to enhance production efficiency and market diversification could help drive future growth in Vietnam’s paper export sector.
