Vietnam’s production of paints, varnishes, similar coatings, printing ink, and mastics increased by 5.6 percent in December compared to November, according to Vietnam’s Industrial Production Index.
Year-on-year, the sector posted a remarkable growth of 15.0 percent in December 2024 compared to December 2023. For the full year, cumulative growth reached 7.9 percent in 2024 compared to 2023, reflecting solid annual performance in this industry.
The December increase reflects heightened activity in construction and industrial sectors as the year closed. The significant year-on-year and annual growth are driven by rising demand for high-quality coatings in domestic markets and export-driven industries, such as automotive, furniture, and construction materials.
