Vietnam’s ore and mineral imports jumped nearly 30 percent in March

Vietnam imported US$308 million worth of ores and other mineral products in March, a 29.97 percent increase from February, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This brought the year-to-date total to US$747.04 million.

Australia was the largest supplier by far, contributing US$145.08 million in March, more than double the previous month. Brazil followed at US$85.90 million with a slight month-on-month decline. Imports from Thailand rose 81.81 percent to US$17.44 million, while China, Cambodia, and Laos also posted notable increases. In contrast, shipments from Russia, Turkey, and Myanmar saw significant declines.
